Here is the FYBO log from
NQ7RP. Pictures of the NQ7RP site
follow the log. There is a very good
early collection of FYBO pictures at the Northern Vermont
QRP Society. Results and complete
soapbox will be posted sometime after March 1, 2007.

FYBO Photos
I believe the following picture from the NM QRP group
just about says it all about FYBO! This
is where that big 40m signal from KK6MC/6 came from. Dr. Megacycle himself is operating the K1.

Now to a much warmer place… Arizona! This is the
20m/15m operating position at NQ7RP.

Station with operator Mike, K7DD. Can you believe the day started off at 39F
and ended up at 70F.

The antenna here is a full size 20m ground plane
constructed from 4 - 16’ fiberglass poles and a Jackite 31’ pole. Mike’s paint can filters worked very well
and kept interaction between the stations to nothing.

This is the 40m station. Heard lots of loud stations, but very few contacts. The 40m half-square antenna did not play as
expected. This will require another
trip to the park with the antenna analyzer for a post mortem and tune-up!

Mike, W9UQB takes a turn at the 20m station.

Mike W9UQB and Floyd NQ7X take a break and get their
picture taken…

Some of the local visitors keeping an eye out for the
next op…

This is representative of one op that visited very briefly,
but didn’t stay long enough to get his picture taken… W1LEY/7
