Here they are at long last. The preliminary results of the 2005 FYBO Winter Field Day! There were 46 entries submitted this year compared to a little over 30 last year. This does not reflect the true number of participants. There are many more, from looking at the logs, who did not send their entries.
Scores that are different from what you submitted were adjusted upward when I found missed multipliers or arithmetical errors while looking through the logs and your comments. Oddly enough, all the errors were made on the low side. Scores will be finalized and awards will be assigned in the next few days. Please let me know if I missed anyone who thought they sent a log or just made an error. The soapbox was fun reading and I will add everyone’s comments over the next few days.
Awards. You thought I forgot. The awards will cover both the 2004 and 2005 events. There are about 200 pins, 7-10 ScQRPion paddles, and 15 or so Stinger Singer Semi-Kits to be sent. This doesn’t count some number of Award Certificates. These are really nice and come courtesy of Mike Baker (K7DD). Awards for the Multi’s will be sent to the person submitting the logs. Distribution will take some time.
